Commercial Laser Bird Deterrent Systems

Automated, humane, 24/7 green-laser bird deterrent systems for commercial and agricultural sites — led by BirdzOut automatic lasers, with AVIX Autonomic and Bird Gard Aerolaser also available.

Overview

Laser bird deterrents use programmed green-laser projection to move pigeons, starlings, gulls, geese, sparrows, crows, cormorants, and other pest birds out of protected areas without harming them. Birds instinctively perceive the approaching beam as a physical threat and flee. Automated units run 24/7 with no operator, silently and chemical-free — an ideal supplement to netting, spikes, and shock track on rooftops, food-processing yards, dairies, landfills, warehouses, and agricultural sites. Varment Guard's laser installers are FDA laser-safety trained and program each deployment with site-specific exclusion zones so the beam projects only into intended surfaces.

Problems It Solves

  • Persistent pigeon, starling, or gull pressure on rooftops and open yards
  • Sites where netting or spikes are impractical over large open areas
  • Food-processing and dairy operations that cannot use chemicals or pyrotechnics
  • Facilities that need a silent deterrent with no noise complaints from neighbors
  • Sites where manual dispersal is consuming labor hours every day

Commercial Applications

  • Warehouse and distribution center rooftops
  • Food-processing plants and outdoor yards
  • Dairy barns, poultry houses, feed mills, and agricultural buildings
  • Landfills, transfer stations, and wastewater lagoons
  • Vineyards, orchards, berry farms, and open-crop agriculture
  • Solar farms, utility yards, and industrial storage

Professional Installation

We start with a laser site survey to map bird pressure, roosting zones, mounting points, and required exclusion zones (roads, occupied buildings, airspace). BirdzOut Automatic is our featured automated laser — a programmable Class 3B green-laser unit built for small-to-mid commercial rooftops, dairy and poultry barns, feed mills, restaurant rooftops, and agricultural buildings. BirdzOut runs continuously, 24/7, with no operator, covering roughly two acres per unit from a fixed mount. The system is weather-sealed for outdoor rooftop and agricultural environments, draws low power, and can be programmed with multiple timed schedules and projection patterns so the beam sweeps the exact perches, ledges, and open zones where birds congregate. Because BirdzOut is sized and priced for the facilities that make up most of our client base, a single unit often covers the entire pressure zone. For larger multi-acre industrial sites we also install the AVIX Autonomic Mark II and Mark III (Bird Control Group) with coverage up to 5–7.5 acres per unit and cloud-based programming and monitoring. For handheld dispersal work on farms, feedlots, orchards, vineyards, and airport perimeters we deploy the Bird Gard Aerolaser Handheld, the industry-standard professional handheld laser. Every install is commissioned by FDA laser-safety trained technicians and programmed with site-specific projection zones so the laser hits target perches and stays out of everywhere else.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, when installed correctly. Commercial units are FDA-regulated Class 3B devices — our installers are laser-safety trained and program each unit with exclusion zones so the beam projects only into intended surfaces and never toward roads, occupied buildings, or airspace.
